A simple GI pipe provides the necessary path for the fault current to be grounded. However, GI pipes are prone to corrosion and over a period of time, depending on the effect of the corrosive elements in the soil, gets eaten away resulting in increase of the earthpit resistance. To ensure longer life of the earth electrode, we have adapted an innovative design for the earth electrode system using a combination of pipes and highly conductive chemical compound.
This Chemical Earthing Electrode consists of the main earth electrode encapsulated within another pipe filled with highly conductive compound. The main earth electrode thus protected by the presence of the conductive compound and the outer pipe last beyond a normal GI pipe electrode. Highly conductive property of the compound facilitates the fault current to immediately discharge through the outer pipe to the surrounding area.
The whole assembly of the Chemical Earthing Electrode is then installed in a bore made in the earth and the space around is filled by scientifically developed earth enhancing compound.
